The Jennifer Spiwak Memorial Scholarship
Fund was established in March 2001 to promote
the continued study of the violin for students
in Central New York. In June 2007, the Scholarship
was awarded to a New Hartford High School
string student, administered by the Scholarship
Committee at New Hartford Schools. The new
award - the New Hartford High School/Jennifer
Spiwak Memorial String Scholarship - will
be on display at the school. Jennifer was
a 1992 graduate of New Hartford High School. The 2007 award winner was Anthony LaFache. The 2008 award winner was Robert Cooper. The 2009 award winner was Claire Wilcox. The 2010 award winner was Nolan Walker. It is our hope that this award will continue to pay tribute to the wonderful music that Jennifer gave the world, while helping string students develop their own talent and love of music.
